At eight years old I went kicking and screaming to my first swim practice. Ten years later I attended a Division 1 college to competitively swim. I graduated with a BS in Business, 2 years captain of the swim team, and multiple school records in the pool. My swimmers lungs and competitive nature turned out to be of great use when I ran my first road race a few years later. In 2013 I caught the competitive running bug and it has transformed my life. Today, I have completed 7 marathons, countless half’s and other distances, and even dabbled in triathlons. My passion for running has most recently morphed into coaching other runners to reach their goals. I am a certified RRCA running coach, assisting New York based running teams and individuals from all over the US. I compete in local races and love to visit new places with destination races – runKATEtions. The best part of running is all the friends and people I’ve met on the road.
